Park Hyatt hotel opens in Seoul

The Park Hyatt Seoul has opened opposite the COEX convention and exhibition in the Korean capital.

The 24-storey building, whose lobby is on the top floor, offers 185 guest rooms including a Presidential suite, two Diplomatic suites and 35 Park Suites. It has been designed by Japan-based Super Potato and Korean company HAUD.

Facilities include a 570sq m (6,000sq ft) spa with three treatment rooms, a sauna, steamroom, spa pool, plunge pools, swimming pool and Technogym-equipped fitness suite.

The Cornerstone restaurant is located on the grand floor and specialises in grilled meats and seafood and features a walk in wine cellar. A traditional Korean House-style bar, The Timber House, incorporates The Sushi/Sake & Soju Bar, The Whisky Bar and The Cocktail Bar.

Three further Hyatt properties are set to open this year; in Buenos Aires, Dubai and Saigon.
