The final development stage at Munich’s Allianz Arena – which will be one of the key venues for next year’s football World Cup – has been completed. The stadium will officially open with a game on 31 May and boasts a total capacity of 66,000 people. The stadium will be shared by two football clubs, Bayern Munich and TSV 1860. It was designed by Herzog & de Meuron, of Tate Modern fame, and was built by the Alpine Bau Deutschland consortium. Details: www.allianzarena.de Close Window |
