Ritz-Carlton enters Texas

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has begun the construction of its first hotel in Dallas.

The property – the group’s first in Texas – will have 217 rooms, a restaurant, 14,000sq ft (1,300sq m) of meeting space, a 12,000sq ft (1,100sq m) luxury spa and a health and fitness club.

The hotel will be housed in a 21-storey tower and will also include 70 luxury residences.

Ken Rehmann, Ritz-Carlton’s vice president of operations, said: “Dallas has long been part of our strategic expansion plan. We were just looking for the right location for it.”
