Peppers adds Springs to its step

Peppers Resorts & Retreats has acquired the Springs Retreat in Daylesford, Australia.

The newly-named Peppers Springs Retreat features a new luxury spa, with eight treatment rooms, three open-air mineral water plunge pools, a sauna, a steamroom and relaxation rooms.

Treatments include algae baths, clay and hot stone massages, aromatherapy massages, body wraps, facials and pedicures, as well as shiatsu and reiki.

Products are supplied by LaPhyto, Pevonia Botanica and Heritage Healers.

Signature treatments include the Chinese Year of Birth Body Wrap, using LaPhyto clays, chosen according to the client’s Chinese year of birth.

Built in 1935, the 25-bedroom Springs Retreat resort has been restored with contemporary decor.

Peppers was founded in 1984 and now operates and owns 18 properties throughout Australia and New Zealand. Rolf Krecklenberg, managing director of the group, says: “The award-winning Springs Retreat fits perfectly into the Peppers portfolio of properties.”
