A breath of fresher air in swimming pools |
GB Environmental's second generation UV disinfection technology is set to make waves as a new means of destroying potentially fatal parasitic bugs in swimming pools. Claimed to kill micro-organisms that chlorine can't, the company's SafeGuard range of UV technology uses spectrally enhanced amalgam lamps instead of medium pressure lamps as part of the disinfection process, which GB Environmental says results in significant cost savings since they need less energy to operate. Each SafeGuard machine has an integral lamp cleaning system, designed to provide continuous and efficient results and reduce the need for maintenance. . Commenting on the advances GB Environmental has made in the technology, managing director Dr Ron Mitchell says: "To make that step over from using chlorine to UV, pool operators need reassurance that UV is exactly what it purports to be -a highly reliable, cost-effective, low maintenance alternative. "With this mind, all of our products have been designed to provide maximum kill with minimum effort from the operator themselves." Close Window |
