![]() Curves International, the express workout chain for women founded by Gary Heavin in 1995, has revealed expansion plans for the German market following the successful launch of its first club in the country in September 2005. The company’s first club in Falkenstein was followed by a second site in Rosenheim, south of Munich, in February. A third club is scheduled to open in Flensburg this month. CFW Group, a subsidiary of Curves International, is driving the rollout. Sales representative Joe Piller said: “Our goal is to open 1,200 Curves in the next five years. We’re coming to Germany with a successful business model and a fierce desire to succeed.” The company celebrates its 11th anniversary this year. It now has almost 10,000 sites in 36 countries.
