PromPeru – the Commission for the Promotion of Peru – has unveiled the country’s 2006 tourism campaign.

The US$7.5m (£4.3m, 6.2m euro) international print and online advertising campaign – a 21 per cent increase on last year’s investment – will promote Peru’s Northern Amazon archaeological, natural and cultural attractions.

The campaign is aimed at international tourists. The promotion will include trade shows, seminars and workshops as well as first-hand familiarisation trips throughout the country. PromPeru was founded in 1993. Details: www.peru.info
