IHG opens resort hotel in Egypt

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a 503-bed hotel – InterContinental Resort Taba Heights – at the 4.2million sq m (45million sq ft) Taba Heights resort on Sinia’s Red Sea coast in Egypt.

The US$35m (£20m, 28m euro) hotel comprises a private beach, two tennis courts, a squash court, an aerobics room, a fully-equipped gymnasium and two swimming pools – one heated and one saltwater lagoon.

The spa will feature another indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna and a spa bath and will offer massage and beauty treatments.
