Scooby-Doo does it again
The Sally Corporation’s La Aventura de Scooby-Doo (The Scooby-Doo Adventure) at Warner Bros. Park in Madrid, Spain, has won the Best New Family Ride prize at the Ultimate European Theme Park Awards.
The 6,000sq ft (560sq m) interactive dark ride was designed and built at the Sally facility in Jacksonville, Florida, US.
The original incarnation of the ride – the result of a collaboration between Sally and Paramount Parks Design and Entertainment – at Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, won IAAPA’s Best New Children’s Ride in 2000.
Passengers sit in four-seater cars made to resemble to Scooby gang ‘Mystery Machine’ and riders shoot at targets with laser-like Fright Lights. The ride features 17 scenes and 80 animated props and characters. Details: www.sallycorp.com
