Australian ski resort to open day spa

Fund manager MFS and developer Ray Group have teamed up to launch a AUS$6m (£2.4m, US$4.6m, 3.5m euro) day spa at the recently opened Dinner Plain Village ski resort in the Australian Alps near Hotham, Australia.

Covering 3,000sq m (32,000sq ft), the single-level DP Central + Spa will feature a Japanese-style onsen – a heated bathing facility – plus five massage treatment rooms, an indoor 15m lap pool, a gym, a signature restaurant and a hair salon.

The Japanese-inspired spa was designed by Perth-based architect Grounds Kent and will feature local natural spring water. The facility will open in June.

Membership to the spa will be available to DP village holiday home owners. Resort guests will be able to access all the facilities as part of their holiday package. Details: www.dpvillagehotham.com.au
