![]() Frankfurt-based Steigenberger Hotel Group has opened the latest property in its planned two-year expansion, the Steigenberger Strandhotel Zingst on the Baltic Coast. Opened on 1 June, the 121-bedroom property boasts interiors by Anne Maria Jagdfeld of Berlin-based design company amj. It also offers a 1,400sq m (15,000sq ft) Wellness Pavilion including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a whirlpool, sauna, solarium, and fitness, beauty and massage facilities. Steigenberger, which has already opened properties in Dresden, Germany and the South Tyrolean region of Italy this year, will also open an all-inclusive hotel resort in Egypt later this year, an InterCity hotel in Dresden in 2007 and a spa hotel on the Isle of Norderney in Germany in 2008.
