![]() A US$1bn (£529m, 784m euro) housing concept specifically designed to improve the health of residents gets underway this month in the US. Gym membership, health screening and nutritional guides will come as standard for members of the new community, which is the brainchild of Kenneth Cooper, the doctor who coined the term aerobics in 1968. Branded Cooper Life and developed in partnership with house builders Wellstone Communities, the site will be located at Craig Ranch, Texas – home to Cooper's 7,000sq m (75,000sq ft) Cooper Aerobics Center. All residents will receive a standard package of health services, including membership to the centre, spa services and health seminars. Close Window |
