The new Australian-themed AUS$56m (£24m, 35m euro, US$41m) waterpark is set to open in December and work has now begun on creating a shared entry point between Dreamworld and WhiteWater World.

The park is also currently developing a Lifeguard & Ride Attendant qualification specifically for WhiteWater World.

Andrew Sharry, business development manager for Macquarie Leisure Operations – which owns Dreamworld – said recently that an independent third party audit on the park’s water efficiency had been completed.

“This has been a detailed process,” he said, “but we have just been given the highest rating possible for a waterpark and been ranked as one of the most efficient waterparks in the world!” Details: www.whitewaterworld.com.au
