08 Mar 2010 New owners for Gravetye Manor BY Tom Walker |
Gravetye Manor Hotel and Country Club in East Grinstead, Sussex has been sold to a private buyer for an undisclosed amount. According to PricewaterhouseCoopers, which was appointed administrator of the property earlier this year, the new owner will be a "new entrant to the hotel market". The Grade I-listed manor house was one of the UK's first country house hotels and features 18 bedrooms, a restaurant and private dining facilities, a bar and dining room as well as staff accommodation. The property also features 35 acres of historic gardens set in over 1,000 acres of ancient woodlands. Close Window |
