![]() The Antigua and Barbuda Tourist Office has announced the launch of a US$700,000 (£367,000, 545,000 euro) canopy eco-tour through Antigua’s rainforest, set to open at the end of this month. The Antigua Rainforest Canopy Tour – owned and operated by Antigua Rainforest – comprises a high-wire course aimed at giving tourists a birds-eye view of the flora, fauna and bird species of the rainforest. The 26-element course features a sequence of zip lines and suspension bridges and ends with a 60ft (18m) controlled descent parachute jump. Additional features include a midway tree house café and a 2,000sq ft (186sq m) bar café with a viewing veranda, as well as a gift shop. All guides will be Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) trained and the course was designed and built by a certified ACCT Professional Vendor Level 3.
