![]() The Costa coffee chain – owned by Whitbread – plans to double its previous target of establishing 1,000 stores by 2010. The company now proposes to increase its number of outlets in the UK and internationally from 650 stores to 2,000 in the next five years. Costa will expand into Poland, Romania and Bulgaria in December and aims to open a further 200 stores in these countries over the next five years as part of its revised 2010 growth plans.
