29 Nov 2006 Prevention is key to health in Denmark |
![]() A new health club specialising in preventative health has opened in Hillerød, Denmark. Owned by two physiotherapists, with a further 10 employed at the site, Hillerød Physiotherapy and Gym has been ergonomically designed to be inclusive for disabled users. It features a 700sq m (7,535sq ft) fitness suite equipped by Precor, a 500sq m (5,382sq ft) health clinic, a group cycling studio, a large freeweights area and a sauna. The club offers a range of classes such as pilates, core stability and resistance training, although the owners made a decision not to include classes such as step aerobics, which they believe put an unnecessary strain on joints.
