The £1.1m Shokk facility includes equipment specially designed for 8- to 16-year-olds.

Gail Chambers, operations manager at Dewsbury Sports Centre said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both the children, teenagers and parents of the community.

“The facilities are just superb. We hope that they encourage young people and families to come along and take part in regular activity.”
