Jumeirah launches global spa brand

Dubai-based Jumeirah Group has launched a new global spa concept called Talise which will be introduced to a number of its hotels.

Developed over the past eight months, there are three key models for Talise which will be rolled out at selected properties – an urban model for ‘essential wellness’; a resort model for ‘exceptional wellness’ and a destination model for ‘extraordinary wellness’.

Each of the three models focuses on a person-centric approach, meaning that Talise spa experiences and treatments can be tailored to guests’ individual needs.

Every spa will be individually developed to suit its location and key model while signature spaces and facilities will be designed to provide a meditative and therapeutic environment for guests.

The first Talise opened last month at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. Future sites will include the relaunch of the Spa at the Jumeirah Beach Club in December this year and the Spa at HanTang Jumeirah Shanghai in 2008.

Director of spas for Jumeirah, Anni Hood, said: “Talise challenges the notion that a spa should take only one approach, one concept or one idea to create its identity. The dynamic, evolving and eternally modern spa philosophy will see the Talise model set for global growth.”

The rollout of Talise is part of Jumeirah’s plans to expand its portfolio to 40 hotels and resorts by the end of 2009.
