![]() The Catalan-owned luxury hotel group Expo Hoteles & Resorts has acquired the Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa, situated in Marbella on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Formerly known as the Don Carlos Beach & Golf Resort, the property is located in 430,560sq ft (40,000sq m) of landscaped tropical gardens. A total of 25m euro (£17.08m, US$33.06m) has been invested in the hotel over the past five years as part of an ongoing renovation project, while next month will see the addition of a number of other services including an intimate spa, a kid’s club and two new restaurants. There will also be a special VIP club on the hotel’s beach, which will include a special butler service. A larger sized spa is also scheduled to open at the resort in early 2009. Expo Hoteles & Resorts was founded in 1976. It currently has 10 hotels in Spain with a total of more than 2,800 bedrooms. Close Window |
