Agua Resort for Dominican Republic

A new resort and spa is to launch in May in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

The Agua Resort and Spa has been designed by Dominican architect Antonio Segundo Imbert as a boutique property and will be located on the north eastern corner of the Dominican Republic, around 24 miles from the Punta Cana International Airport.

The resort’s spa will have a sauna, indoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, a beachfront infinity pool and five treatment rooms.

There will also be a dedicated 24-hour butler service available alongside other facilities including three on-site restaurants, overseen by Michelin-starred chef Edgar González Barrado.

Located along a private white sand beach, the resort consists of 18 villas which contain a total of 53 suites.

Designed to reflect traditional Caribbean architecture, natural stone and local hardwoods have been used in each villa. The décor of the resort was created by Patricia Reid.
