Bollywood theme park opens
BY Tom Walker

A large visitor attraction showcasing Indian cinema and culture has opened in Gurgaon, in the northern Indian state of Haryana.

Called Kingdom of Dreams, the 6-acre complex mixes live entertainment and shows with cinematic exhibitions, art, culture and cuisine.

The park is a joint venture between events management firm Wizcraft and a Delhi-based real estate company.

The owners are aiming to offer "all the delights of India" in one place, benefiting from the increasing popularity of the Bollywood phenomena both in India and abroad.

At the centre of the development is a 850-seat ShowShaa theatre and entertainment centre, which can host live shows and stage productions as well as screened events.

There is also an indoor promenade - full with air conditioning and a Las Vegas-style fake sky - along which is strewn a number of restaurants and retail outlets. Details: www.kingdomofdreams.co.in
