09 Sep 2010 New director for Woodland Trust Scotland BY Pete Hayman |
Woodland Trust Scotland (WTS) has confirmed that Carol Evans, former director of the National Autistic Society Scotland, has been named as its new director. Evans took up the role on 1 September and joined the organisation as it launched a drive to increase native tree planting across the country as part of its More Trees, More Good campaign. Woodland Trust chief executive Sue Holden said: "We welcome Carol to the Woodland Trust, we have great plans for the future and Carol will play a key role in making these happen in Scotland." Evans added: "The Woodland Trust has set out its ambition to double native woodland cover over the next fifty years; this ambition is matched by the Scottish Government." Close Window |
