Cardiff's Barfly club 'closed for good'
BY Pete Hayman

Cardiff's Barfly live music venue, which opened in 2001, has "closed its doors for the last time", according to managing director Be Rozzo.

A number of concerts due to take place at the venue over the coming months have been relocated following the decision to close the club, which was announced at the start of the month.

In a statement, Rozzo said: "Cardiff has a rich musical heritage and many genuine music lovers, for this reason we hope at some point to return to the city in a location that better reflects the needs of the current generation of the artists and audiences.

"Regarding current shows, we will endeavour to place all forthcoming gigs at alternative locations. Where this is not possible, tickets will be refunded."
