The Conrad Buenos Aires hotel will be located in the Puerto Madero district of Argentina’s capital city.

It will feature 190 bedrooms, a signature restaurant, lobby bar, fitness centre and 7,000sq ft (650sq m) of meeting space.

In addition, the complex will contain 350 Conrad Residences.

Richard Blamey, senior vice president brand management, said: “The Conrad Buenos Aires will appeal to the discerning leisure and business traveller. Our guests expect an exclusive luxury environment with individual style, sophisticated service and a place where they can truly engage with the local culture.”

Construction is expected to begin in 2008, with completion scheduled for early 2010.

Further Conrad Hotels & Resorts are under development in the Maldives, Shanghai in China, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in UAE, the Bahamas and Koh Samui in Thailand.
