Shangri-La signs agreement for Phuket

Asia-Pacific group Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has signed an agreement with Thai company Durham Holdings to manage the Shangri-La Phuket resort and spa, which will open in 2009.
The property will be situated on the west coast of Thailand’s Phuket island on the 5km Bang Tao Bay beach, and will be set amid lagoons, gardens and a natural river.
