Hilton planning 30 new hotels for 2011

Hilton Hotels & Resorts plans on opening 30 new properties across 18 countries this year.

The first quarter - in addition to the recently opened Hilton Mumbai Airport - will see the openings of the Hilton Zamalek Residence Cairo, Egypt; the Hilton Chennai, also in India; the Hilton Queenstown, New Zealand; and the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa.

Scheduled for the second quarter are the Hilton Windhoek, Namiba, the company's debut in that country; the Hilton Guanghzhou Tianhe and the Hilton Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Resort, both in China; the Hilton Bodrum Turkbuku Resort & Spa, Turkey; the Hilton Doha; the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5; and the Hilton Marsa Alam, Egypt.

The Hilton Bogota is to open in the third quarter, along with the Hilton Frankfurt Airport; the Hilton Surfers Paradise, the brand's first combination hotel and residences in Australia; the Hilton Taiyuan, the Hilton Xian and the Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun, all in China; the Hilton New York/JFK Airport; the Hilton Jumeirah Beach Residence, UAE; and the Hilton Bursa Convention Center & Spa in Turkey.

The last quarter will see the addition of the Hilton Lima Miraflores; the Hilton Bangalore Residences and the Hilton Hyderabad Palace, both in India; the Hilton Panama City; the Hilton Shenzhen Futian, the Hilton Shijiazhuang and the Hilton Jinan, all in China; the Hilton Baku, Azerbaijan; and the Hilton Marjan Split in Croatia.
