Starman sells Le Meridien Paris to Unibail-Rodamco

Hotel investment company Starman, originally set up as a joint venture between Starwood Capital and the now defunct Lehman Brothers, has sold the leasehold interest and ownership of the business in Le Meridien Montparnasse Hotel Paris to Unibail-Rodamco.

The 33-storey, 953-bedroom hotel boasts 4,600sq m of meeting space and is the second largest hotel in Paris and one of Europe's largest conference hotels.

Following completion of the transaction, management of the hotel has been taken over by Accor. The hotel has been rebranded as the Pullman Paris Montparnasse.

Unibail-Rodamco is a commercial property operator, investor and developer and has a number of investments in the convention-exhibition centre sector.
