Summer opening for Waldorf Astoria Sevilla

Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement to convert the Hacienda La Botanica resort near Seville, Spain, into a new Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts property.

The group has already taken over the operation of the resort and is now planning to relaunch it under the Waldorf Astoria brand this summer.

First opened in 2004, the 133-room property offers an authentic Andalusian experience and boasts an on-site equestrian centre, which is home to 16 thoroughbred Spanish horses.

Among the facilities at the resort is a 5,000sq m (53,820sq ft) spa with therapy rooms and a number of hydrotherapy studios, along with indoor and outdoor pools.

However, a Hilton Worldwide spokesperson revealed that more information of the Waldorf Astoria Sevilla's spa product will be announced in due course.

Hilton Worldwide global head of luxury and lifestyle brands, John Vanderslice, said: "Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria will be a wonderful addition to our growing brand portfolio, offering a truly unique guest experience.

"The property will be a warm and inviting hideaway, where guests will discover the delights of the Andalusian lifestyle while enjoying exceptional facilities, only minutes from Seville and many local attractions."
