Year ends on high note for Matrix Fitness

2011 was an unprecedented success for Matrix Fitness, with the development of our ambassador programme being particularly noteworthy.

Working in partnership with our customers, our ambassadors including gold medallist Tim Brabants, and the elite women’s cycling team – Horizon Fitness RT, aimed to inspire and motivate participation in physical activity. The team was boosted in 2011 with the addition of James Cracknell, and Great Britain Triathlete Jodie Stimpson.

The cyclists in particular have generated significant interest, benefiting from heightened awareness thanks to the headline grabbing talent of riders such as World Track Champions, Dani King and Jo Rowsell; two young riders within the British squad that are bidding for Olympic glory.

It’s not just female cyclists flying the Matrix flag though – we were delighted to supply equipment to one of Britain's most successful ever male cyclists too. Bradley Wiggins, the Team Sky, multi Olympic, and World medallist is training on Matrix equipment as part of his off-season preparation for the 2012 double - the Tour de France and Olympic assault.

2012 will be a pivotal year for British sport, and Matrix Fitness is pleased to be supporting British Athletes through our ambassador programme. We wish our athletes every success for the coming year, especially those competing in the Olympic Games.
