Halo and Greenwich Leisure have been selected to run leisure facilities owned by Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) for up to 15 years, with effect from 1 April 2012. The local authority will retain ownership of the leisure centres and swimming pools as part of the deal, which also includes a major investment in Bridgend Recreation Centre. BCBC leader Mel Nott said: "I believe we will see a big difference in our centres and pools and this will support our ongoing work to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents." Close Window |
