VAGA director to go in restructuring move
BY Pete Hayman

Hilary Gresty, director of the Visual Arts and Galleries Association (VAGA), is to be made redundant as part of a restructuring process, following the loss of GBP100,000 funding.

Arts Council England is set to withdraw its grant-in-aid support from April, with the VAGA board unveiling a model that will also see administrator Alison Lawrence depart.

A new co-ordinator post has been created and will be filled by Trevor Horsewood as a result of the changes, which will also see VAGA Scotland breakaway to form a new organisation.
