Bad Aibling complex nears completion

Work on a communal spa complex in the Bavarian town of Bad Aibling, located east of Munich, Germany, will soon be completed.

The spa will include swimming pools, a gym, sunbeds and a winter garden providing views of the surrounding Bavarian landscape.

Designed by Stuttgart-based architects Behnisch, Behnisch & Partner, the 1.4-acre Bad Aibling Spa will be situated in a number of dome-like structures, some of which are fully glazed.

There will be an ecological micro climate within the glass spa domes – offering visitors a choice of hot and humid temperatures or a more relaxing dry air.

There will also be a Ruhe Kuppel or relaxation dome featuring a projection system and surround sound, installed by Sky-Skan.

The flexible design of the domes also allows them to be partially dismantled during summer months as well as opened and ventilated overnight. The complex will open next month.
