RSPB unveils Loch Lomond reserve plans
BY Pete Hayman

Conservation charity RSPB Scotland has announced plans for a new 568-acre (228-hectare) nature reserve to be situated near Gartochan on Loch Lomond's south-eastern shore.

The new nature reserve will be operated by the charity in collaboration with Scottish Natural Heritage, as well as Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority (LLTNPA).

Anne McCall, regional director for RSPB Scotland in the south and west region, said plans for the reserve would increase the accessibility of nature to "thousands of people".

LLTNPA CEO Fiona Logan added: "[The project] will enhance the conservation of the area and it will provide visitors with a great experience."
