Starwood to temporarily relocate global headquarters to Middle East

Starwood Hotels and Resorts has announced plans for the temporary relocation of its global headquarters to the Middle East next year in a "month-long managerial endeavour".
The group - owner of the St Regis, W and Le Méridien brands- is based in Connecticut but will transfer its Senior Leadership Team to the Middle East as part of the proposal.
Starwood president and CEO Frits van Paasschen said the move was an "unconventional effort to understand, appreciate and ultimately leverage different cultural perspectives and approaches to business."
