A new spa concept and treatments drawing on the "healing and cleansing powers of water" have been introduced by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts at its resorts in Bali, Indonesia.

The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan now offer a concept marking water's role in traditional Balinese ceremonies.

Helen Norman, director of spa for both Four Seasons Resorts in Bali and senior director of spas, Asia Pacific, is behind the Jimbaran Bay Spa and Sayan Spa concepts.

New signature treatments at the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan include the seven Chakra Blessing treatments, which restore the energy centres along the spinal column.

Meanwhile, the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay offers signature therapies that balance the "personal magnetic field" by using water along with salt and crystals.

The Sayan spa has six treatment rooms - three couples' suites, two double-size spa villas and a Royal Spa Villa with outdoor shower and bath.

Facilities at the Jimbaran Bay spa include 11 treatment rooms - three of which are couples' suite and another three of which are beachfront pavilions (bales) used for "select rituals".

Norman said: "Spas around the world have always been influenced by Balinese culture, and these two Four Seasons Spas renew that international leadership with the priorities of authenticity and education, inspiring our guests to bring genuine Balinese practices into their daily lives as a simple way to maintain wellness and peace of mind."
