18 Jun 2012 UKinbound warns government against 'Diamond Jubilee complacency' BY Pete Hayman |
UKinbound has warned the government against becoming complacent in its drive to attract 40 million visitors by 2020, following the recent Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Mary Rance, the organisation's chief executive, raised concerns that the Jubilee - as well as the 2012 Games - could distract the government from addressing ongoing tourism issues. Rance said: "I call on government and the industry to tackle the issues impeding inbound tourism with the same determination, enthusiasm and gusto that they have put into the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics."
