19 Jun 2012 Deloitte: London businesses confident of passing Olympic 'Stress Test' BY Pete Hayman |
The majority of businesses to participate in a "London 2012 Stress Test" have expressed confidence in their ability to minimise disruption during the Games, according to Deloitte. More than 100 firms tested measures covering transport, telecommunications and IT under the Stress Test, which has been devised by Deloitte and Canary Wharf Group. Nearly half (45 per cent) tested measures designed to deal with transport issues during the Games, which Deloitte said demonstrated "additional effort" being put in by some firms. The vast majority of participants (85 per cent) found home working to be effective or very effective, although those testing it for the first time did experience some connectivity issues. Mark Naysmith, Games readiness director at Deloitte, said: "This research paints a positive picture among companies that have tested their preparedness." Details: www.deloitte.com Close Window |
