Fitness centres benefit from increased Nuffield Health reinvestment
BY Pete Hayman

Nuffield Health has revealed that its fitness and wellbeing centres benefited from the 25 per cent increase in the amount reinvested by the healthcare social enterprise in its services last year.

According to the group's annual report, £44m was reinvested into its portfolio of health clubs and hospitals - up from £35m in 2010 - in order to expand and improve its provision.

The majority of the reinvestment went towards Nuffield Health's hospitals, although £1m was spent on revamping both its Wandsworth and Farnham fitness centres among others.

Nuffield Health also extended its physiotherapy services to cover 85 per cent of the group's fitness and wellbeing centres as a result of the reinvestment.
