North East Derbyshire District Council's principal building contractor and leisure services partner, Pulse, has been responsible for delivering the facility within a former bar area at the centre. The new fitness suite is housed in a single large internal space and boasts a 40-station gym with IFI-accredited cardiovascular and strength equipment, as well as 15 group cycling bikes. More than £240,000 worth of equipment has been installed, with Pulse also providing new wall and floor finishes and a suspended ceiling with new ventilation and lighting systems.
