Ireland's Arts Council in bid to increase philanthropic donations

Ireland's Arts Council has announced details of a new high-level pilot initiative designed to help arts organisations increase income secured through philanthropic sources.
The agency is now seeking groups to participate in RAISE: Building Fundraising Capacity, which will offer one-to-one support for eight selected organisations over a two-year period.
Groups chosen to participate in the pilot will receive support in planning and implementing a bespoke fundraising programme. The initiative is due to commence in October.
A spokesperson said: "The Arts Council has identified that it is vital for organisations to develop, agree and implement an effective fundraising strategy."
