Freedom Leisure has completed more than £134,000 of energy efficiency improvements at three leisure facilities it operates in partnership with Brighton and Hove City Council. The project started in April 2011 and has included the installation of modernised swimming pool systems, heating controls and eco-friendly lighting to save both energy and costs. King Alfred Leisure Centre, Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre and Prince Regent Swimming Complex have benefited, with 1.6m KW of electricity set to be saved. Freedom Leisure area manager Neil Roberts said: "Reducing our carbon footprint allows us to keep costs down for our customers and is a crucial part of our environmental commitment."
