The spa opened on 24 July at the city's former 19th century hospital building, transformed under the guidance of architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. Facilities include three single treatment rooms and one double treatment room, with the spa offering a full range of specialist REN therapies and products. British furniture designer Russel Pinch was also involved with the spa's design, which also houses a fitness suite equipped by London 2012 supplier Technogym. The private walled garden attached to the spa features the 'inside out' pool in which guests experience cool outdoor air before swimming into a room heated by a wood burning stove. Chapter Hotels owns and operates the 59-bedroom Magdalen Chapter hotel, which joins the Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham. Click here for more information on the new spa at the Magdalen Chapter.
