Hunt: Government 'dedicated' to school sports

Culture secretary Jeremy Hunt has acknowledged that there is room to improve school sports provision in the UK and has declared it a priority of post-Games legacy plans.
Speaking on BBC1 earlier today (6 August), Hunt said: "At the moment, school sport provision is patchy in some places and we need to do what we can to make sure that the very best examples are spread throughout the whole country.
"This is absolutely going to be a focus over the next few months and one of the things we really want to take away from these Games."
The comments come just days after British Olympic Association chair Lord Moynihan called for an overhaul of the UK school sports system.
Moynihan said that the large proportion of Olympic athletes with a private education was "one of the worst statistics in British sport".
