Council announces upgrade programme for Redditch leisure centres

Redditch leisure centres are to undergo a programme of improvements, while also offering reduced prices on some membership packages, under plans unveiled by the local authority.
Arrow Vale Sports Centre will see new cardiovascular and strength equipment in its fitness suite, which is also to be redecorated under Redditch Borough Council (RBC) proposals.
The council also confirmed that Arrow Vale Sports Centre will now offer exercise-to-music classes in an expanded membership package, which is being cut from £22 to £16 a month.
Meanwhile, improvements planned for Kingsley Sports Centre include a refurbished gym; a replacement sports hall floor; and maintenance to the squash court.
Arrow Vale Sports Centre's fitness suite will close between 28 August and 16 September to undergo work, while there will be a series of temporary closures at Kingsley Sports Centre.
