Physiotherapists have reported a 'sharp spike' in the number of sports injuries this summer - thanks to the public taking to sports fields and tracks trying to emulate their Olympic heroes. According to private health group BMI Healthcare, it has seen a 20 per cent increase in sports-related injuries during the "summer of sport".
