BY Tom Walker

A major new national arts prize worth £40,000 for emerging artists has been made available by Northumbria University.

Funded privately by Singaporean art lover Wee Teng Woon, the grant will be used to fund the cost of a Fellowship at the BxNU Institute for Contemporary Art at BALTIC 39 in Newcastle.

The institute is the result of a collaborative partnership between BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Northumbria University.
