Funding for Staffordshire Great War Trail project

Staffordshire County Council has been awarded £80,000 from the Arts Council England to develop a trail to support plans for the county's commemoration of the Great War.
The project is being led by Staffordshire County Council on behalf of the Staffordshire Museums Strategic Consortium and will commemorate Staffordshire's involvement in the Great War, improve the historical research base, and explore how the Staffordshire Great War Trail can be developed.
Funding will partly go towards the costs of a project officer over the next five months who will oversee the historical research.
