![]() Bournemouth University has invested £1.3m in extending and refurbishing the sportBU fitness facilities at its Talbot Campus. The revamp included doubling the size of the gym and redesigning and refurbishing the fitness suite studios and treatment rooms. With the aim of increasing membership to around 1,400 within the first year, the new 3,880sq ft (353sq m) gym houses 65 pieces of Precor equipment - including Adaptive Motion Trainers. The new facilities at sportBU also feature a fully refurbished sports hall, dance activity studio, Health Zone treatment rooms and a new IT management membership system. Used mainly by students, external schools, youth groups and partner sports clubs, the improvements have been made to attract more gym members from local communities. Close Window |
