Starwood expands Mexican portfolio

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has continued its Mexican expansion with the launch of Le Meridien Hotel in Mexico City.
Le Meridien Hotel is the group's 71st Starwood hotel in Latin America and its seventh in Mexico City.
The latest hotel is located in the city's financial and cultural district at Paseo de la Reforma 69 and features 160 suites.
It also houses a fitness centre and a swimming pool as well as restaurant C'est la Vie.
Two real estate investment companies - Trinity Investments and Terra Investments – funded the hotel while Starwood will manage operations.
Starwood currently operates 100 properties under the Le Meridien brand in more than 40 countries. Starwood acquired Le Meridien in August 2005.
